Thai Yoga Bodywork

Experience the restorative benefits of Thai Yoga Bodywork, an ancient healing tradition with roots dating back more than 2,500 years to India. Over centuries, it evolved in Thailand through the influences of yoga, meditation, Ayurveda, and traditional Chinese medicine. Often described as "assisted yoga" or the "lazy person's yoga," this therapeutic practice combines mindful stretching, acupressure, rhythmic movement, and breath, to improve mobility, and support the body's natural balance. Many experience a profound sense of calm, and some even drift off to sleep during their session.

What to Expect

  • Sessions are provided fully clothed on a comfortable futon-style mat on the floor. Please wear loose or stretchy pants and a t-shirt so you're able to comfortably, freely be moved. Using the palms of the hands, thumbs, forearms, and occasionally the soles of the feet, your practitioner applies gentle pressure, rhythmic movement, and supported stretches from your feet to the crown of your head. This flowing sequence encourages circulation of blood and lymph, increases flexibility, eases muscular tension, and leaves you feeling deeply relaxed, balanced, and renewed.
